Dr. C. W. Kessler, M.D. and Certified Staff

Ms. Stiltner joined us as Program Director in 2007. She has a Certificate in Medical Office Management and over 10 years experience. She is responsible for the day-to-day operation of our program and has extensive knowledge of medical procedures and insurance.

Donald E. Bartlett, M.D. - Medical Staff

Dr. Bartlett is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and University of Virginia Medical School. He has been practicing in the Northern Virginia area since 1991 and is certified by the American Board of Family Physicians. He joined our medical team in 2006.

Anne Wingo, MS, RD - Health Educator

Ms. Wingo is a Registered Dietitian. She received her undergraduate education at the University of Utah, graduating Magna Cum Laude in Nutrition. She received her masters Degree in Nutrition from Boston University. She has had over ten years experience as a Health Educator in weight management programs and almost 20 years experience as a Dietitian over all .

Vanessa Hart, MS, RD - Health Educator

Ms. Hart is a Registered Dietitian and provides nutritional & wellness education and counseling for our patients.She received her Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Virginia and her Masters of Science in Nutrition from Virginia Tech.She completed her dietetic internship with Virginia Tech - NOVA.She is a member of the American Dietetic Association(ADA) and of ADA’s Weight Management practice group .

Harriet Parks - Medical Assistant

Harriet is a Certified Medical Assistant who brings her considerable nursing skills to our team. She is responsible for the accuracy of our patients’ vital signs, draws and processes blood samples, is charged with keeping accurate clinical data and helps maintain patient flow during our busy hours.

Aura Rosales - Medical Assistant

Aura started her work with us in June 2006 and has become an invaluable member of the team in a short time. She is originally from Guatemala and is a medical assistant with over 5 years experience. She is a pleasure to work with - an asset to both staff and patients alike.

Dr Kessler has been in practice as a Family Physician for over thirty years and has been a weight management specialist since 1983 when he founded the OptiFax Weight Loss Program which became the INOVA Fairfax Hospital's Obesity Treatment Program. He received his Undergraduate degree from Brandeis University in Massachusetts and his Medical Degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan in 1971, completing his Post Doctoral education at USC Medical Center in Los Angeles, California. He has been certified as a Specialist in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Practice. He is past chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at Fairfax Hospital and has been named numerous times in Washingtonian Magazine's List of the area's Top Physicians.
